What is your bedtime?
When do you get up?
When do you brush your teeth?
What time does your family eat dinner?
What time to you leave for school?

Library Books
Please remember our library day is Thursday. Lets see if the whole class can remember to bring their books back this week.

P.E
We are continuing to swim on a Tuesday and Wednesday but we are keeping an eye on the weather as it is starting to cool down. Please let me know if your child is finding it too cold to continue.
We have the bikes booked again for Friday. It is great to see how confident the children are becoming on the track. We are working with those children who are still learning to ride a bike during this time and it is so exciting to see their successes. If your child prefers to ride their own bike you are welcome to send this along.

Week 6

Welcome to school Lace, it is great to have you with us!

Writing
This week we have started writing in our writing books.
We are learning to:
* draw a picture plan to help us generate ideas to write about
* start in the correct place
* write left to right
* write the words 'I' and 'am'

We are doing well with learning the magenta word list. This week we will be focusing on the words 'to' and 'is' in class

Reading
We hope you are enjoying hearing us read to you each night. We are all getting very good at pointing to the words. This week we are looking for some words we know from our word list and identifying the initial sound in some words. We enjoy looking through the pictures before reading and this helps us to predict what the words might say.

We are focussing on recognising, writing and sequencing numbers this week. We love this you tube video for helping us to count backward from 20:
